Weddings at Holy Cross
Want to get married at Holy Cross?
Wonderful. Here's what you need to know.
Requesting a Date. Wedding dates at Holy Cross are often booked nine months or more in advance. Except in extraordinary circumstances all engaged couples must complete the Holy Cross Pre-Cana (marriage preparation) program before celebrating the Sacrament of Matrimony with us. As this process can take four to six months, delay can cause troublesome complications. Please contact the Parish Office as far in advance as possible of your desired wedding day, and let's get the process started.
Our Pre-Cana couples who live in the Twin Cities area are highly encouraged to attend Holy Cross for Sunday Mass during their engagement period, and warmly invited to join our parish, especially so if you live in Nordeast!
Non-parishioners: $1150 (includes use of church and bridal room, wedding coordinator, and also defrays expenses related to our formation and preparation program). Additional fees include organist and cantor ($350) and altar servers for the wedding Mass (preferred two but minimally one at $25 per). There is also a weekend retreat (a Friday evening and 9a-5p Saturday) required by the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis, Living God’s Love, with a fee of $200, payable to the Archdiocese.
Parishioners (registered at least one year prior to initial inquiry): $650 (includes use of church and bridal room, and also defrays expenses related to our formation and preparation program). Additional fees include organist and cantor ($350) and also for servers (preferred two but minimally one at $25 per). There is also a weekend retreat (a Friday evening and 9a-5p Saturday) required by the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis, Living God’s Love, with a fee of $200, payable to the Archdiocese.
