Gestating Joy: An Advent Meditation
We are told that Advent is the “Season of Hope”, and the nature of the Christian life is to live both in thanksgiving for the hidden arrival of God in the world (Christmas), but also in expectation of God’s final arrival, when He will come in all His glory. But this is not easy to do, in a world with so much suffering, where God so often seems absent and unconcerned. Dr. Kidd, of the UST Catholic Studies program, will speak to the challenge of Christian hope and reflect on how we as believers must learn, with the Blessed Virgin Mary, to “hope in darkness”, to reach forward in active faith for that which we cannot yet see. Talk starts at 7:15 pm followed by Adoration and Confessions from 8-10 pm.
