Northeast Catholic Collective
“Collective Catholic Life: In the Body. In the World.”
NECC seeks to nurture Catholic life in NE Minneapolis beyond the church walls and outside of the immediate parish structure. We sponsor catechetical, liturgical, cultural, and social events especially tuned to young adults (and those for whom young adulthood is still a fairly recent memory). The Collective currently holds a three-part Faith & Culture series, thrice yearly (Autumn, Lent, Summer), hosted at various locations in the NE neighborhoods. We also support the monthly (2nd Thursdays) Vespers at Lourdes event for young adult professionals in the Twin Cities, hosted by Our Lady of Lourdes parish.
NECC seeks to contribute to the unity of the diverse Catholic life in NE Minneapolis. In ongoing development is a Collective-sponsored collaboration between local parishes in Family Faith Formation, RCIA, and Marriage Preparation.
NECC seeks to engage the surrounding community to help raise the material and cultural standard of living in NE Minneapolis. The Collective is developing strategies for engaging in the exploding interest in community development as exemplified in the activity of NE neighborhood associations and cooperatives.
