Funerals

Our parish is privileged to walk with you during the process of grieving a loved one. The funeral rites of the Catholic Church provide a powerful liturgy that simultaneously mourns the separation of death, offers prayers for the deceased, and looks forward to the joys of eternal life.

To begin planning a funeral, or to schedule and plan a funeral for your loved one, please begin by calling the Parish Office.

After initial contact has been established, you will meet with a priest or other representative of the parish clergy or staff to discuss the following details:

+ A date and time for the funeral liturgy. In general, our funerals tend to be scheduled Tuesday through Friday during the morning hours.

+ The readings and music that will suit the needs and desires of the deceased and his or her family members.

+ Whether a visitation will take place prior to the funeral and whether a luncheon shall follow the funeral.

+ Information regarding the mortuary that is handling the preparations of the remains. We will request the name, phone number, and email from the contact person representing the mortuary.

+ The parish will take care of providing a priest, contracting musicians, and supplying a printed order of worship to guide the bereaved through the funerary rites.
