MISSION
STATEMENT
Holy Cross is a spiritual center and historic multi-campus parish in Northeast Minneapolis, which cultivates an intergenerational community rooted in the beauty, goodness, and truth of the Catholic Christian Faith.
Spiritual Center: Holy Cross Parish is rooted in the heart of Northeast Minneapolis, where it stands as a house of prayer and community.
Intergenerational Community: Holy Cross is a place where disciples of all ages and various cultures and languages come together to pray, give, and serve.
Beauty, Goodness, and Truth: Our parish is a concrete expression of these three Divine attributes, leading especially with the ‘Way of Beauty’ with a focus on music and the arts.
VISION
STATEMENT
Building upon our Polish and immigrant heritage, we renew our city in Christ by fostering growth in holiness, vibrant family life, and community outreach through the reverent celebration of the Roman Rite and the formation of lifelong disciples.
Embracing Our Heritage: Holy Cross Catholic Church was founded by Polish Immigrants in Northeast Minneapolis in 1886. Today, our parish is home to a wide cultural demographic, and we remain the steadfast home of Minnesota’s only Catholic Polish Apostolate.
Renew Our City in Christ: Deep Catholic conviction once made Northeast Minneapolis what it was and it can bring renewal. We strive to offer healing and hope through Christ’s redemptive power.
Community Outreach: We believe everyone deserves to hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ, which we seek to share in word and deed.
Formation of Lifelong Disciples: Saying “yes” to God is the project of an entire lifetime, and we provide formation all along the way.
