Chef Lucas Food - Doing Good with Food

Chef Lucas Food is on a mission to strengthen pediatric cancer families and the organizations that serve them through the power of good food by forming charitable partnerships with the food service industry.

Chef Lucas Food is a nonprofit 501c3 charity that has grown from the Make-A-Wish of a 12-year old boy, Lucas Hobbs, during his battle with pediatric cancer in 2015. During his battle, the St. John Neumann community in Eagan supported Lucas' family with meals during his cancer treatments as well as Father Howe administered to Lucas the Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick. In gratitude, Lucas used his Make-A-wish to feed 1000 parish members via food trucks at St. John Neumann, Minneapolis Children's hospital, his teachers, the police, a senior citizen community and the Dorothy Day homeless shelter. Now 15 and in remission, Lucas' nonprofit mission to "Do Good with Food" continues to bear fruit as he and his family have fed thousands more under the spirit of his Make-A-Wish.
